How it all started

"When I was looking for a nursery for my son, I wanted one that could tick all my boxes: a passionate, knowledgeable team with expertise in child psychology; play-based learning; fitness; and healthy nutrition – but I couldn’t find what I was looking for..."

MEplace began life as a notion dreamt up by our founder, Vlada Bell, when she was a new mum.

Vlada couldn't find what she was looking for in a nursery – so she decided to create her own. A nursery with a core focus on mental and physical health. A nursery where every child is valued, and where they can feel confident to share their feelings, interests and ideas. A nursery where parents feel fully supported and involved. That’s how MEplace was born.

Initially a small site led by a combined HQ and teaching team in 2020, since then we’ve seen growth in our community, the development of our bespoke Golden Thread curriculum, and the exciting opening of our new sites – all while never losing sight of our roots.

We’ve learnt so much over the years, in collaboration with our talented team and MEcommunity. Our dream is to maintain the highest quality of education and care for our families. We've always prioritised quality over growth, with no intention of becoming a large chain that values expansion more than the families we serve.
